NAI spoofing alert

Recently, we have received reports that cybercriminals are using the NAI name without permission.

Some examples of this are:

  • An email from inform@arbitrartion-chamber.com to a person abroad with the subject line “Notification of Arbitration Proceedings and Hearing Schedule”, claiming that NAI proceedings are pending (reference number: NAI170426-0047-654261) and that the person should contact the sender. The message includes the NAI logo and correspondence address.
  • An email informing someone that NAI proceedings are pending and that they must pay the administration fees because the claimant is unable to do so.

Dear […] We are pleased to inform you that you have been successful in the recent hearing. Please find enclosed a copy of the court’s official decision for your records. The Arbitration Tribunal has fully dismissed the Claimant’s case, ruling that the company operated without a licence and engaged in deceptive financial practices. Furthermore, the tribunal ordered them to: Refund the full disputed amount; Pay €20,000 in moral compensation; Due to the insolvency of the Respondent, the Claimant is ordered to pay the arbitration court fee of 2,539 USD by 26 June 2025. Should you have any questions or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us. Yours sincerely, Weena 505, 34th floor, 3013 AL Rotterdam, the Netherlands P.O. Box 21075, 3001 AB, Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

  • A person receives an email from a law firm with a letter on so-called NAI letterhead attached. The law firm has a website that appears legitimate at first glance. Upon closer inspection, you notice that many things do not seem to add up. The firm is also registered with the Chamber of Commerce and has a valid Chamber of Commerce number.
