NAI statistics compared to other institutes

Jus Mundi published a report in 2025 called the 2023 Global Arbitration Statistics Report (view the report here). The report, written by José Emilio Ruiz Pineda, offers an extensive, comparative analysis of arbitration cases, procedural developments and institutional reforms of the world’s leading arbitration institutions. Based on official data from the ICC, LCIA, HKIAC, DIAC, VIAC, SCC, NAI, ICDR, PCA and ICSID, the report offers insights into how arbitration has developed in 2023. The most important insights include trends in the number of cases, geographical differences, diversity, efficiency, the financial importance of the cases, public sector involvement, institutional innovations and perspectives.

In addition, the NAI is affiliated with the International Federation of Commercial Arbitration Institutions (IFCAI). IFCAI is an international organisation that unites commercial arbitration institutes worldwide. It focuses on the exchange of knowledge, promoting cooperation, training and education, and promoting international standards. IFCAI is currently investigating whether it can develop a standard for the statistics that the institutes publish annually.
