Purpose of NAI40

NAI Jong Oranje (NAI40) is the young professional committee of the Netherlands Arbitration Institute (NAI). The committee forms a bridge between young professionals under the age of 40 and the world of national and international arbitration.

NAI40 aims to provide a forum for solicitors, company lawyers, academic staff, and other legal professionals interested in arbitration. By organising lectures, panel discussions and networking events, NAI40 encourages the exchange of knowledge and experience and contributes to the development of a new generation of arbitration specialists.

Composition of NAI40

The NAI40 committee currently consists of six young professionals with experience in arbitration and mediation. The members are appointed for a period of two years and are actively involved in organising events, lectures and networking activities.

The committee focuses on a broad group of young professionals: from starting solicitors to more experienced professionals and academics who want to further their knowledge of national and international arbitration. To cater to the diverse interests of this target group, the NAI40 organises various types of meetings. The emphasis is on stimulating knowledge sharing, strengthening the involvement of young professionals and increasing the visibility of arbitration among the new generation of professionals.

Events

Every year, the NAI40 committee organises lectures and seminars for various groups of young professionals. In addition, networking events are held where members can exchange experiences and establish contacts within the field.

Last year, NAI40 organised meetings for starting lawyers and legal professionals, young experienced lawyers who are included on the NAI arbitrator list, and a meeting in London with panel discussions on current topics in international arbitration. NAI40 connects different generations within the arbitration community and promotes the exchange of knowledge and insights, both nationally and internationally.
