Overview of NAI appointments

This page provides an overview of NAI appointments in proceedings administered by the NAI.

Most appointments are made on the recommendation of the parties. Appointments may also be made following a proposal by the NAI (list procedure) or directly by the NAI. The latter occurs primarily in emergency proceedings. In the case of direct appointments by the NAI or appointments via the list procedure, the NAI makes use of the public NAI List of Arbitrators and the NAI Mediator Pool. If the necessary expertise cannot be found via these lists, the NAI will look for a suitable candidate outside the lists. The NAI also has a good network for this purpose.
